The second leg of the Triple Crown, the Citibank Hong Kong Gold Cup (2000m G1), took place at Sha Tin Racecourse on February 25th. Under the guidance of jockey Matthew Chadwick, "Romantic Warrior" quickly took the lead from gate 11, battling fiercely with "Bubble Blower" down the home stretch. Despite starting from the widest barrier, Romantic Warrior prevailed, securing his sixth Group 1 victory since beginning his racing career.
