EAST HALL’S MIRACLE SEASON CONTINUES The East Hall Vikings continued one of the most improbable runs in Georgia high school basketball with a 73–49 victory over the Jefferson Dragons in the GHSA Class 3A Sweet 16 at Seth Vining Gym. After starting the season 2–13, the sixth-seeded Vikings have surged through the postseason and are now headed to the Elite Eight for the first time since 2015. East Hall used a three-point barrage from Cooper Barton and relentless defensive pressure to pull away in the second half, delivering one of their most complete performances of the season. Head coach Joe Dix praised his team’s resilience during the historic turnaround. “These guys just won’t quit. If we just keep working, something good will happen for us. Well, something good has happened for us.” East Hall now prepares to face Calhoun Yellow Jackets with a trip to the GHSA Final Four on the line.
