In one of the most dramatic games of the South Florida high school basketball playoffs, the #1 Somerset Canyons Cougars rallied to defeat the #2 Lincoln Park Academy Greyhounds 47-46 in the Class 3A Region 3 Championship. Lincoln Park was on fire from beyond the three-point line for three quarters and led by as many as 10 points midway through the third. With seconds left in the quarter and holding a seven-point lead, the Greyhounds fouled a Somerset shooter beyond the arc on a buzzer-beater attempt. The Cougars calmly knocked down all three free throws to swing momentum. Just seconds into the fourth quarter, Delanie Doty drilled a three-pointer to ignite the comeback. Doty added two more threes in the final period as Somerset locked down defensively and completed the rally to punch their ticket back to the state semifinals.
