The Melbourne Aces swapped Jimmy Kerrigan and local Victorian and 2023 WBC Team Australia member Darryl George at second and fifth in the batting order for a more aggressive one. Philadelphia Phillies prospect and 2023 WBC Team Australia member Robbie Glendinning led things off for the Aces with a leadoff walk on a 3-2 count. Glendinning would finish the game a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate with a walk. However, a strikeout and back-to-back flyouts by Giants starter and 2023 WBC Team Australia member Luke Wilkins kept the inning scoreless. Quincy Latimore continues to show his hitting consistency by getting a single on a 0-1 count for Adelaide’s first, first-inning hit of the postseason. In the top of the second, Wilkins only needed 9 pitches to get the three outs, including getting the inning-ending strikeout on three pitches. In the top of the third, back-to-back-to-back singles by Glendinning, Kerrigan, and 2023 WBC Team Australia and former Major Leaguer Aaron Whitefield with two outs put the Aces on the board first. A fielding error in the outfield allowed Whitefield to utilise his speed to leg out to second base. With runners at second and third, a hard-hit ball by former New York Yankee would have scored another two runs for the Aces but was ultimately spoiled by a clutch sliding catch in right field by Chicago Cubs prospect and Team Australia representative Liam Spence made a clutch sliding catch in right field to strand two runners. In the bottom half of the inning, Adelaide was able to get runners in the corners with one out. However, the Giants left with a zero on the board with a crucial swinging strikeout pitched by Aces starter Gunnar Kines on a 2-2 count, who then induced the soft contact for the groundout. The game was turned on its head in the bottom of the fourth. Local South Australian and 2023 WBC Team Australia member Jordan McArdle hustled for a single on a full count. McArdle was then brought home two pitches later from a 2-run home run by Josh Altmann to not only give the Giants a 2-1 lead, but also winning a fan free beer.</a>

Adelaide Giants 3 (1-1) def Melbourne 2 (1-1) The Aces out-hit the Giants by six but fall to the Giants in a fiery game two. Adelaide starter and Oakland Athletics prospect Jack O’Loughlin pitched 4.0 innings, allowing five hits, no walks, while striking out an incredible eight batters, only allowing an unearned run. Melbourne’s starter and former Major Leaguer Lewis Thorpe nearly matched O’Loughlin’s production, pitching 4.2 innings, allowing just two hits, a walk, and an earned run while striking out seven. The Aces maintained their aggression, although they showed a bit more patience at the plate this time around. They were the first to be in scoring position in the top of the second with a hard-hit double and was able to advance to third on a groundout, but was stranded by a swinging strikeout to end the inning. Philadelphia Phillies prospect and Team Australia member Rixon Wingrove was able to get a double of his own to lead off the bottom of the second. However, he too was stranded with Thorpe pitching a three-pitch strikeout, inducing a flyout to left field, and then getting the strikeout on a 2-2 count off a breaking ball to keep the game scoreless.</a>

The Giants made two notable double plays in the third and fourth inning. The first was a groundball hit to Rixon Wingrove (1B) and then thrown to Michael Martinez to get the out at second. The second DP was another groundball hit to Nick Ward (2B) and thrown to Lyle Lin (1B) to get the two outs. Then, in the top of the sixth, Greg Cullen followed up by slamming another solo home run for the Tuatara to right field, extending their lead to 2 – 0. The Bottom of the ninth was tense, with bases loaded and no outs, it looked like the perfect opportunity for the Adelaide Giants to make a comeback. However, the Tuatara managed to shut them out with a popup to shortstop and 2 strikeouts for the final two outs by Jason Blanchard, sealing the Game 2 win for the Tuatara. The Adelaide Giants had numerous occasions where their runners were in scoring position prior to this inning (bottom of the 3rd and bottom of the 7th) but were unable to capitalize. The Tuatara finished with a combined total of 9 hits, two hits by Jax Biggers, Matt Feinstein and Greg Cullen, and a solo home run by Matt Feinstein and Greg Cullen.</a>
