Yuval Freilich has a diverse background with roots in Israel. Born in Israel, he grew up in a religiously observant Jewish household in Gush Etzion, residing in the settlement of Neve Daniel and Havatzelet HaSharon. His parents, Gabby (a radiologist) and Rachel Freilich, originally from Sydney, Australia, immigrated to Israel. Yuval is one of six siblings and is the nephew of former Organisation of Rabbis of Australasia president Rabbi Dovid Freilich.
In 2000, when Yuval was a child, the family moved to Australia. During his five-year stay, he attended Moriah College primary school. However, in 2004, the Freilich family returned to Israel. Yuval later served as a soldier in the Israel Defense Forces, receiving training at the Wingate Institute.
His educational journey includes attending the Open University of Israel in Netanya, where he pursued a double major in Law and Government. Subsequently, he furthered his studies at IDC Herzliya. Yuval Freilich's background reflects a rich blend of cultural experiences, education, and military service in Israel.
