Aisuluu Tynybekova, born on May 4, 1993, in Bishkek, is a prominent Kyrgyz freestyle wrestler who has left an indelible mark on the global wrestling stage. She gained international recognition by competing in the women's 63 kg event at the 2012 Summer Olympics, becoming the first woman to represent Kyrgyzstan in wrestling at the Olympics. Despite facing a legal dispute that threatened her participation in the London Games, the case was postponed until after the event. During the 2012 Olympics, Tynybekova reached the 1/8 finals but was eliminated by Henna Johansson.
Tynybekova's remarkable wrestling journey continued, and she achieved significant success. She clinched the silver medal in the women's 62 kg category at the 2020 Summer Olympics held in Tokyo, Japan, further solidifying her status as an elite athlete. Her resilience and prowess have been showcased in multiple World Championships, with her highest finish being seventh in 2013. Additionally, Tynybekova has excelled in Asian Championships, consistently finishing no lower than third and securing victory in the 58 kg class in 2016.
